EVAL PLAN TREAT RESULT YOUR GOAL
The Model

Why go cash-based for physical therapy?

Insurance billing shapes how most clinics deliver care — visit limits, productivity quotas, and treatment plans built around what a code covers instead of what your shoulder actually needs. Cash-based PT flips that.

Typical Insurance-Based PT

15–20 minutes of hands-on time, often split across two or three patients at once
Visit count capped by your plan, regardless of how you're progressing
Treatment plan shaped by billing codes and documentation requirements
Rotating aides and techs; limited continuity with one clinician
Areas of Focus

Orthopedic and sports injury rehab

Thirteen years of orthopedic practice, concentrated on every major joint — plus the gait and running mechanics that connect them — helping athletes maximize their potential and every patient regain the function they lost after an injury.

Shoulder

Rotator cuff injuries, impingement, post-surgical rehab, frozen shoulder, and overhead-athlete throwing mechanics.

Rotator cuff tear · Labral repair · Impingement
Frozen shoulder · Instability

Knee

ACL and meniscus rehab, patellofemoral pain, post-op recovery, and return-to-run and return-to-sport programming.

ACL / meniscus repair · Runner's knee
Patellar tendinopathy · Total knee recovery

Hip & Spine

Hip impingement, labral tears, and post-surgical hip rehab, alongside disc-related pain, sciatica, and chronic low back pain — building the strength to lift, sit, and move without guarding.

Hip impingement · Labral repair · Total hip recovery
Disc herniation · Sciatica · Low back pain

Ankle, Foot & Gait

Sprains, tendinopathies, post-surgical rehab, and a detailed gait and running mechanics assessment to fix the pattern driving the pain.

Ankle sprain / instability · Plantar fasciitis
Achilles tendinopathy · Running gait analysis

Your Physical Therapist

Dr. Jay Skeldon, DPT

Dr. Skeldon has spent the last 13 years treating orthopedic and sports injuries — from weekend runners managing a nagging knee or aching Achilles to competitive athletes rebuilding a shoulder after surgery, with a special focus on gait and running mechanics. That experience shapes a simple belief: recovery goes faster when one clinician owns your whole plan, session to session, instead of handing you off between aides.

SkeldonPT was built around that idea. Every evaluation, every treatment session, and every home program comes from the same clinician, start to finish — measured, tracked, and adjusted as you progress, the same way a good orthopedic plan should be.

Patient Outcomes

What recovery looked like for them

From the very beginning, Jay's patience, kindness, and genuine concern made every therapy session a positive experience. He always took the time to answer my questions thoroughly and explain how my injury was affecting my walking, balance, and overall progress. His clear explanations helped me better understand my recovery and gave me confidence that I was moving in the right direction. Jay's encouragement and professional expertise have meant more to me than he probably realized. Recovering from this injury was not always easy especially at my age but his positive attitude and caring approach made the journey much easier.
