Start the healing.
Personalized healthcare built around you and your goals. One-on-one orthopedic rehab for all joints — including the back, shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle — as well as gait and running mechanics. A full hour with a doctor of physical therapy, every visit. No insurance caps. No 15-minute slots. No referral required in Massachusetts.
Why go cash-based for physical therapy?
Insurance billing shapes how most clinics deliver care — visit limits, productivity quotas, and treatment plans built around what a code covers instead of what your shoulder actually needs. Cash-based PT flips that.

Orthopedic and sports injury rehab
Thirteen years of orthopedic practice, concentrated on every major joint — plus the gait and running mechanics that connect them — helping athletes maximize their potential and every patient regain the function they lost after an injury.

Dr. Jay Skeldon, DPT
Dr. Skeldon has spent the last 13 years treating orthopedic and sports injuries — from weekend runners managing a nagging knee or aching Achilles to competitive athletes rebuilding a shoulder after surgery, with a special focus on gait and running mechanics. That experience shapes a simple belief: recovery goes faster when one clinician owns your whole plan, session to session, instead of handing you off between aides.
SkeldonPT was built around that idea. Every evaluation, every treatment session, and every home program comes from the same clinician, start to finish — measured, tracked, and adjusted as you progress, the same way a good orthopedic plan should be.
From first visit to full recovery
Initial Evaluation
A full 75-minute session: movement assessment, joint measurements, strength testing, and a conversation about what "recovered" looks like for you specifically.
Personalized Treatment Plan
Your therapist builds a plan targeted at your goal and timeline — not a generic protocol — and walks through it with you before treatment starts.
Hands-On Care & Movement Training
Manual therapy, targeted strengthening, and movement retraining, delivered one-on-one for the full session, every time.
Progress You Can See
Range of motion and strength are re-measured throughout care, so you know exactly how far you've come — in degrees, not guesswork.
Simple, transparent pricing
No surprise bills, no insurance mystery. You know the cost of your care before your first appointment.

What recovery looked like for them
From the very beginning, Jay's patience, kindness, and genuine concern made every therapy session a positive experience. He always took the time to answer my questions thoroughly and explain how my injury was affecting my walking, balance, and overall progress. His clear explanations helped me better understand my recovery and gave me confidence that I was moving in the right direction. Jay's encouragement and professional expertise have meant more to me than he probably realized. Recovering from this injury was not always easy especially at my age but his positive attitude and caring approach made the journey much easier.
